About the studio

Eighteen North is a software studio based in Kingston, Jamaica — 18° north of the equator, the coordinate we’re named for. We design and build production web applications end to end: the product, the interface, the infrastructure, and the parts most teams would rather not touch.

Much of our work is aimed at the Caribbean market — places the big platforms don’t serve well, or at all. That’s meant building a real card-payments platform where Stripe won’t operate, a free clinical-software suite small clinics can actually run, marketplaces for cars, homes, food and developers, and the quiet infrastructure underneath — SSL fleets, observability, analytics, email.

Across 30 products and 18 live deployments, the throughline is the same: ship something real, get the hard details right — payments that reconcile, records that keep their word, security that fails closed — and keep it honest about what it does and doesn’t do yet.
